Sodium Hypochlorite
In 2007 Trinity Manufacturing completed construction of a membrane cell chlor-alkali manufacturing facility in Hamlet, NC. Shortly thereafter, we finalized a joint venture with Olin Corporation called Oltrin Solutions which markets and sells this high purity Sodium Hypochlorite.
What sets our bleach apart from the competition’s product? Quite simply, quality. Our state-of-the-art plant manufactures bleach through the electrolysis of saltwater thus allowing control over the most important raw material, the salt.
Trinity begins the sodium hypochlorite production process with an evaporated salt, low in impurities. The water used for brine manufacture is softened to remove minerals and then de-ionized. By passing this brine through our membrane cell electrolyzer we create chlorine and caustic which is piped directly into a continuous process bleach machine. Onsite generation of the chlorine and caustic eliminates contaminates picked up in rail cars which ship raw materials to typical bleach manufacturers. Our end result is a finished product with nearly undetectable metal levels.
The Sodium Hypochlorite we produce is certified to meet the specifications set forth by NSF and AWWA. To ensure the integrity of the bleach, we ship our product in dedicated fiberglass tankers. Historical shipment documentation, including product retains, is maintained to assure customers that compliance with product specifications can be verified. Additionally we keep all EPA records for shipments and regularly audit customers for compliance with government regulations.
Sodium Hypochlorite is used in a variety of industrial applications as well as for municipal water treatment. Bleach is a strong oxidizer and should be treated with respect.
