EHS Specialist

Job Description:

 

Trinity Manufacturing, Inc, is an expanding specialty chemcial manufacturing company located near the Pinehurst, NC area.  We are currently seeking an EHS Specialist.  This person will be responsible for maintaining a thorough knowledge of EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc) and support compliance activities across the site.  This person will coordinate and develop materials for regularly scheduled & one-time training events to meet annual requirements & company management sysem goals.  Will also contribute to the develoipment and review of EHS programs and SOP's and administer key program elements (such as written respiratory program, hazard communication program), will gather information and prepare or assist wiith the submission of required environmental reports.  Will alos design, facilitate and participate in the EHS audits.  The ideal candidate will identify, trakc and develop reports for safety and environmental metrics, facilitate the incident investigation process at the site level as it relate to incidents, hazard observations, and near misses, working with Operations and Engineering to develop final reports and corrective actions and assist operations, engineering and supply chain with the pre-selection and post-evaluation of contractors, facilitate emergency response, emergency management and security programs including training, drills and documentaiton.  Will be required to support site Process Safety Management (PSM), Responsible Care Management Sstem (RCMS), and Quality Program (ISO 9001).  Person will manage site EHS inventory including PPE, spill kits and industrial hygiene monitoring equipment and other duties as assigned. 

Required Bachelor's Degree is Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or related technical field and/or training or an equivalent combination of eduction & experience; strong working knowledge of chemistry, strong organizational and interpersonal skills (written and verbal); working knowledge of federal, state and local regulations including chemical , hazardous material safety and handling regulations, and facility/product secuirty.  Must have excellent computer skills using word processing, excel, outlook, and internet.
